Changes at Broadview Press

Broadview Press CEO and Company Founder Don LePan today made the following announcement regarding management changes at the company, all of which are to take effect July 1.

Leslie Dema, Broadview’s President since 2014, has decided for personal reasons to step down from that role. She will remain a valued member of Broadview’s Board of Directors, and will work with the new leadership team on the transition plan this summer; Leslie has done a superb job in leading the company through turbulent times!

Stephen Latta, formerly Philosophy Editor and Lead Business Analyst, will become President. In addition to building an excellent list in Philosophy, Stephen has in recent years played a key role in all aspects of the “big picture” running of the business. Stephen, who joined Broadview in 2011, works out of the company’s Calgary office.

Marjorie Mather, formerly Publisher, will become Vice President (Editorial and Production). Marjorie has been with Broadview since 2004, and has done excellent work for many years in shaping the company’s publishing program. Marjorie works out of the company’s Calgary office.

Christine Handley, formerly Sales Manager, will become Vice President (Sales and Distribution). Christine, who joined Broadview in 2011, has since 2014 led the sales team—and done so extremely well. Christine works out of the company’s Guelph office.
