Notice to all Customers:

Broadview books remain available for sale throughout the United States, Canada, and the rest of the world. Our books are CUSMA/USMCA compliant, and tariff-exempt.

We continue to ship all individual orders within a day or two, and we are not currently encountering any border delays. (As usual, we expect that shipments may be slower during the holiday season; please place any orders 10-12 business days before your books are required.)

In case of orders, desk copies, or examination copies with an urgent deadline, please contact our Customer Service Department (customerservice@broadviewpress.com), and Ross and Lisa will do their best to assist you.

Notice to Bookstores:

Broadview’s books are CUSMA/USMCA compliant, and tariff-exempt when crossing the Canadian-US border.

In very rare circumstances, we have heard that some US stores shipping on their own accounts or with their own customs brokers have been erroneously charged tariffs despite our books being exempt. If your bookstore has wrongly been assessed tariffs on a Broadview order, we recommend submitting a dispute with your courier; please let us know if you require further information from us to do so. And if this dispute is unsuccessful or if it impacts your ability to stock Broadview books, please contact us directly and we will work toward a solution.

Since the US administration’s removal of the de minimis exemption (a policy that previously limited customs broker paperwork to shipments with a declared value over $800), we have found that multi-piece shipments sent by FedEx Ground are taking up to 9 days to clear the border. We recommend bookstores place winter and spring orders early, or quote on FedEx International Economy shipping, which is not seeing the same delays.

For information regarding specific orders, please contact Ross and Lisa in Customer Service (customerservice@broadviewpress.com). For further information regarding the status of Broadview books under CUSMA/USMCA and under IEEPA (the International Emergency Economic Powers Act), please contact our President, Stephen Latta, and/or our Vice President, Sales and Distribution, Christine Handley (latta@broadviewpress.comhandley@broadviewpress.com). Thank you for your patience and perseverance!
