Editions with Online Theory and Criticism

Online Theory and Criticism are a collection of online resources that may be packaged together with some of our most popular Broadview Editions—Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness and Robert Louis Stevenson’s Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are currently available. These websites offer a broad selection of critical articles. The digital format of the critical material allows for a breadth and depth of content that would be unwieldy in a print book: each website includes articles on critical approaches, foundational writings by key figures in literary theory, a collection of visual materials, and a brief glossary of key literary terms. The Online Critical Edition is thus perfectly suited to courses emphasizing theoretical approaches.

The Online Theory and Criticism package combines the Broadview Edition of the novel and access to the Online Theory and Criticism website at a discounted price. Access to the site may also be purchased independently.
